This is a set of two (2) large "paste in" photo books which were published by the Cigaretten Bilderdienst (Cigarette Picture Service) in Hamburg in 1936 to celebrate the recently held Berlin Olympic games. |

Each of the books is twelve inches (12") tall by ten inches (10") wide by one an one fourth inches (1 1/4") thick and are in excellent condition with only minor wear appearing at the corners and small scuff spots on their blue cloth colored covers consistent with their age. |

The gold embossed Olympic Bell emblem and black colored "OLYMPIA 1936" titles on each book is undamaged. Moreover both books contain their full compliment of original numbered photographs that have been individually glued into their proper spots, with none appearing to be creased or damaged in any way. |

| ABOVE is a full frontal view of the blue cloth covers of both books showing the title and the gold embossed Olympic bell on each. BELOW LEFT is one of the many full page (10" by 12") color and black and white printed photos and full color artist illustrations which are found in each book. In this particular one, the Airship Hindenburg (LZ 129) is seen flying over the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. BELOW RIGHT Der Fuhrer officially opens the 1936 Berlin summer games. | ||||||||||||||||||
