Signed and personally presented to Baron Freiherr Baron Georg von Adelebsen on his 50th birthday in 1934 by Reichsmarshall Hermann Goring.
				This item is a unique, Eichorn engraved boar spear that was personally signed and presented by Hermann Goring, the Jaegermeister of the German Hunting Association,to Baron Freiher Georg von Adelebsen on the occasion of his 50th birthday in 1934.
				The metal portion of the spear is made from high quality steel and is fifteen and one eighth (15 1/8") inches in height, by two and seven eighths (2 7/8") in width, at the spear blade's widest point. As a separate component, the spear blade measures eight (8") inches in length.
				A threaded circular shaped shaft, one & five eighths(1 5/8") inches long is on the bottom of the spear, as can be seen in the photo on the following page of this site, for securely attaching the complete metal assembly to a block of premium quality, green colored, Italian marble, which serves as a base for the item.
				This marble block by itself is eight and three fourths (8 3/4") inches long by five and one quarter (5 1/4") inches wide by four and one quarter (4 1/4") inches tall. Assembled, the complete presentation spear, with marble base, is seventeen and three quarter (17 3/4") inches tall overall.
				A beige colored, paper seal bearing the name and corporate logo of the Eichorn firm from Soligen is glued to the bottom of the marble base, identifying that firm as the actual maker and engraver of the boar spear. As it was not its forte,it may be assumed that Eichorn obtained the marble base from a sub contractor in Germany, although the identification of that firm is not known at this time. Nor is it confirmed that Eichorn actually cut and polished the marble itself.
